CCIA is co-funded by an ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) grant of the INTERREG IVB North-West-Europe (NWE) program, a financial instrument of the European Union’s Cohesion Policy. INTERREG funds projects which support transnational cooperation. The aim is to find innovative ways to make the most of territorial assets and tackle shared problems of Member States, regions and other authorities.
The task of the ERDF fund is “Helping reduce the gap between levels and living standards among regions and the extent to which least-favoured regions are lagging behind. Helping redress the main regional imbalances in the Community by participating in the development and structural adjustment of regions whose development is lagging behind and the economic and social conversion of regions.”
Within INTERREG IVB, CCIA is working towards the priority objective of “Strong and prosperous communities”
