CCIA Closing Conference: book a place for Brussels, 19th May

Posted on

As the CCIA project draws to a close, we will be hosting a major conference in Brussels on 19th May. Drawing on our research since 2011 and involving a range of international partners and experts, the conference will address the design, development and delivery of community currencies. We will also use the event to launch CCIA’s final evaluation report, as well as a book on the creation, management and objectives of community currencies authored by CCIA partners at the New Economics Foundation.

The conference will be of great interest to anyone involved in community currencies, whether as practitioners, government policy-makers, activists, SME owners or journalists. It will provide a chance to hear first hand about the work CCIA has done since 2011, to meet people involved in the six CCIA pilot currencies and to support some of the claims made for community currencies with rigorous empirical research. A number of high-profile figures from the community currency world will also be speaking.

Tickets are free, but reservation and a £10 deposit is required. Full running order below. See you there!
